What is Metro Mayhem?
Metro Mayhem takes our Treasure Hunt format and unleashes it on the Greater Manchester transport network. A pile of checkpoints are hidden all across the Metrolink and Bee Network, from the city centre all the way to Bolton and beyond.
Not all checkpoints are equal. Each gives points weighted by difficulty. The harder or further it is to get to, the more it's worth. Some locations offer bonus points for the first visitors, so strategy matters. Bee Network transport only - tram, bus, and Metrolink. No taxis or private vehicles.
In Lupine style, let's forget the big attractions. Every checkpoint is a quirky, tucked-away gem. Think obscure plaques, niche history, hidden architecture and public art dotted across Greater Manchester.
How the day runs
Just before noon. Entrants will meet our team for a quick briefing at the start location. Our tracking app will then unlock the checkpoints and the game begins at 12:00 sharp.
Five hours to hoover up as many points as you can. You must be at the finish by 17:00 and the hunt is over. Scores are tallied, then the real fun begins…
Wind down with your fellow adventurers at the Lupine Racing Summer Party. Grab a drink, share stories from the day, and find out who cleaned up on points. Results announced here.
If you've entered The Scenic Route and you make it to the finish line quickly enough, we'll be holding back capacity to guarantee you a spot at this event - at a reduced entry fee. Since your Scenic Route entry already includes access to the Summer Party social, there's no need to buy that again. Keep an eye on your emails as you approach the finish.
